An increasing amount of children are affected by marijuana-infused food items

The number of children, particularly toddlers, consuming cannabis-infused snacks increased considerably over the course of five years, corresponding to the legalization of marijuana in more states in the United States, as documented in a paper published Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

The number of children exposed to marijuana edibles has skyrocketed in recent years. From 2017-2021, poison control centers reported a staggering seven thousand cases involving kids under the age six – with incidents more than tripling over that timeframe!

A shocking recent analysis by the Journal of Pediatrics has revealed that nearly a quarter of these children have been hospitalized, as reported in the journal Pediatrics.

One of the mothers was actually charged because her 2-year old daughter overdoses on THC Gummies.
