Lower Cannabis Use Disorder Risk for Medical Users, Study Suggests

A study found medical cannabis patients have a lower risk of cannabis use disorder than recreational users. But a substantial portion of medical users still develop problematic use.

The findings of a fresh investigation indicate that a substantial portion of individuals who are prescribed medicinal marijuana eventually develop cannabis use disorder. The number of recreational consumers with a CUD is still smaller compared to the number of people with CUD in general.
